Korean BBQ! Dinner on friday night

Korean BBQ is one of my absolute loves so when a new Korean BBQ restaurant opened up in Melbourne I had to go! We headed to Woo Gaa on a friday night and it was packed. The food was yummy but I was dissapointed. It wasnt as good as Seoul House or any of the other Korean BBQ restaurants closer in the CBD. I think its very busy due to it being fairly new but I will not be a repeat customer. The service is terrible! We waited for 10- 15 minutes for someone to even offer us a table when there were a few free. We didnt want to be rude and just sit down as one of the staff told off a group for doing the very thing. I wouldnt go back and wouldnt recommend it.

Birdman Eating Gertrude St Fitzroy- Review

I love Birdman Eating! The bf and I went there on Sunday for Breakfast and it did not dissapoint! We have been on the search for a place where we can eat breakfast that we wouldnt be able to make ourselves. The black rice with mango tempted our tastebuds but I ended up going with the big breakfast which consisted of chilli cheese kransky, bubble and squeak, poached eggs, pear chutney and toast. The bf had a pulled pork sandwhich with pineapple sorber which was delicious! I love the look and menu of the place. It is chill but with great service and most importantly great food! I will def be heading back to taste everything else on the menu! Check it out!

I love spring time in Melbourne!

The weather the other day was super gorgeous that I went for a stroll in docklands with a friend. Docklands is a waterfront city in Melbourne with great restaurants, artwork and walkways. Perfect for cycling and having a picnic! There is even an ice-skating rink and a massive ferris wheel!

Walk like an Egyptian! Tutankhamun Exhibition- Melbourne Museum

The bf and I finally dragged our butts down to the Melbourne Museum to see the Tutankhamun Exhibition and it was awesome! The Egyptians were so advanced for their time. They had hinges! We still use hinges everyday in our society and they had them back then! The exhibition had amazing items that were used by Egyptian royalty. The jewellery was so gorgeous! I'd love to have some egyptian style jewellry! The exhibition is a must see and I recommend it to you all! It has me fascinated with egyptian fashion and makeup at the moment.

Practical Legal Training Course

As I've mentioned previously, I'm currently in a 6 month course which is practical training in law. (hence why I cannot afford to purchase copious amounts of clothing at this point in time) Once I have completed this I can apply for admission as a solicitor in the next intake which is in February 2012.
I am loving this course so much I'll be so sad when it's over. The tutors and mentors are so lovely and helpful. They know absolutely everything and are basically walking legal dictionaries. The work we do really sets you up for the legal world I believe and prepares you for the workload. However the best thing about doing this course is the people! The other students in my group G & H are so amazing! They are all so lovely and come from all different backgrounds which makes it so much fun! We just celebrated one of the girls birthdays last night and there were so many great conversations!  Oh and did I mention there is a macaroon store only a 10 second skip and jump away? :) Have a great weekend everyone xx

OH DEAR I'M A SPEND THRIFT!

I had a tutor this week who was such a lovely old lady. She was very knowledgeable and I think it appropriate to say wise in this instance. However she was describing people and out popped the word 'spend thrift.' I suddenly thought...I think that is me...a spend thrift. I have to spend the money I earn on clothes. I have had an absolute ban on shopping for about 1-2 months and it was going so well till BAM! I went crazy this week and bought items from ZARA, TONY BIANCO, DIVA, TOPSHOP, EBAY AND MORE! I feel so guilty, hence today's post. Does anyone else get into this vicious cycle?
Well now that the damage is done what I bought are:

                                                    DIVA wide bar necklace

Tony Bianco Cooper Heels in Emerald Suede

ZARA wide strap singlet in white

Zara Hot Pink Skirt

Old favourite....the Zimmermann Sorbet Tie back Dress

Words cannot describe how much I love this dress. Its incredibly versatile. It can be worn casually with flats and a white cardigan or with heels and long earrings for a more dressed up look. Here are some pictures of the dress that I took earlier on this year.

28 lemon meringue cupcakes

So the boyfriend asked me to make 28 lemon meringue cupcakes for his work cake day. It took me 4 hours and a lot of dishes! However they looked ok, but tasted amazing! I might make them more often (for myself) ha ha.

Comment if you would like the recipe.

I love Antipodium!

I absolutely adore the label Antipodium! Their designs are always classic yet stunning!
I purchased the Antipodium Propagator Dress recently and it is divine! The material is so soft and comfortable! It's a dress that is made to twirl in! I bought it at David Jones in Melbourne for $399, however it was selling at http://www.asos.com/ for double that! (exhange rate taken into consideration)

Worn with Zara Leather Jacket

Spaghetti Pies from the Buninyong Bakery

On our girls road trip we stopped off at the Buninyong Bakery for a spaghetti pie. If you are ever in Ballarat, make sure you stop by the Buninyong Bakery and buy one. They are so delicious!

Lusting over items from NASTYGAL.COM

I'm loving the following items from Nastygal.com. This is the ultimate destination for street cred clothing at a bargain price! Delivery to Australia starts at a measly $15 and with our strong dollar it is a must stop website! Be quick though as a size XS and S sell out within the day of release and all that's left is usually a L after a few days.

Bec & Bridge La Femme Dress

Well I couldn't resist buying the Bec & Bridge La Femme dress in black lace after initially posting about it. It was sold out so quickly in the size 6. I'm so lucky to have gotten one! I finally wore it out this weekend on a girls roadtrip and it was perfect! It was freezing but I was so warm because of the long sleeves. Perfect winter dress! Loving the scalloped trim as well!

Every girl needs a white lace dress!... in fact I need one!

Its so true that every girl needs a white lace dress. It can be worn casually with sandals. Or for a rock chick look, pair it with black ankle boots and an army jacket. Or even with YSL heels when hitting the club! The possibilities are endless! Make sure you grab one if you dont have a white lace dress already!
