I've made the change Blonde to Brunette

So I've been blonde for about 2 years now and as Im finishing uni soon I feel that I need to look more professional, so made the move to being a brunette again. I love the Ombre dye style that all the celebs are rocking at the moment so got a similar look at BIBA. To be honest I do miss being a blonde. Colours and patterned clothes just look better on blondes I think.

De Los Santos Brunswick Street Fitzroy

On friday night some friends and I went out for dinner for my birthday to De Los Santos a spanish restaurant on Brunswick Street Fitzroy. We ordered 7 tapas which consisted of calamari, quesadilla's, ricotta and spinach dumplings, garlic prawns etc which we shared amongst the 5 of us. We had custard filled spanish donuts and churros with dark chocolate. I wish I had remembered to take photos as the food was so delicious! I definitely recommend this place. Nice ambience.
We then headed to the nightcat which was interesting, definitely only suited to a certain (intoxicated) crowd. Not our kind of place so we left pretty soon after arriving.
We then took some photos outside of a house that had the cutest artwork.

Dinner and Gelati on Lygon Street

I love going out for dinner and ice cream on lygon street. Its always busy but not so busy that you cant get a table at any of the restaurants. The services is fast and friendly. The prices are reasonable due to the number of restaurants they have to be competitive. There are so many gelati stores/ ice creameries and sooo many choices of flavours!

Things I want from my fav online sites

My favourite online sites that i regularly visit are;

- http://www.mycatwalk.com.au/ (however things are sold out so quickly so be sure to check the new arrivals  first thing in the morning and don't hesitate on purchasing. They offer free returns and your purchase comes with chocolates!)

- http://www.shopbop.com/ (stocks so many great labels and items! Fantastic as it has free shipping and take only about 3 working days or so to arrive)

- http://www.asos.com/ (stocks high to low end clothing labels so you'll be sure to find something that suits your price range. Also introduced free shipping to Australia)

- http://www.nastygal.com/ (stocks street wear/ casual clothing. Gorgeous dresses at a reasonable price)

- http://www.urbanoutfitters.om/ ( stocks a wide range of clothing, from party dresses to casual shoes and skirts. Great prices and amazing stock! They even stock items for your apartment and quirky gift ideas. Hopefully they think about free shipping to Australia in the future.)

These are some of the items I'm lusting over from the above websites.

Vanessa Hudgens doesnt look like a poor hobo? SHOCK HORROR!

I was browsing through this years Coachella pics..envying kate bosworth as according to the gossip mags her boyfriend is Alexander skaarsgard from True Blood...when i stumbled across a photo of Vanessa Hudgens! Lo and behold her outfit did not look like she was a poor hobo and I actually liked it! I never like what Vanessa Hudgens wears, but she looks great at Coachella. Does anyone else agree?

Im obsessively lusting over Bec & Bridge's new collection

I have been checking the Bec & Bridge website daily since the beginning of April, waiting to pounce once their new collection hits the Eboutique! It states that the collection will be out mid april-may so its killing me! Im particularly in love with the La Femme dress, Bone-Tee dress, Marais jacket and. I always seem to get at least one item every Bec & Bridge collection. They are always incredibly comfortable, affordable and gorgeous items!

                                                                         Marais Jacket

Speaking about Bec & Bridge items.....I am selling my Bec & Bridge Escape Shirt, in white with cut out sleeves on ebay. The picture below is me wearing it at Surin Beach Thailand. Let me know if you are interested.

I have also just realised that I do not have enough jackets/ blazers to take me through this upcoming winter. In the past few years I have always taken a holiday during winter, so never really needed a solid winter wardrobe. However due to my boyfriend getting a graduate position this year, he wont get any holiday leave until the end of the year. Meaning our holidays will now occur in the christmas period. So I have been looking everywhere for jackets and blazers! My most recent purchase last week was a bright red David Lawrence trench coat (which i will post in the next few days). I am also lusting over two jackets from Bardot. The wide lapel jacket and the riding jacket. I tried both of them on in the store and they looked fantastic! Now just to save my money to buy them.......

Sunshine in April

Today was such a beautiful day that I just couldn't commit to doing any homework. So I dragged the boyfriend to the city for a wander. I'm about to apply for the Practical Legal Training Course (PLT) and will need a suit if I am accepted this July. We went straight to Cue and I tried on about 6 different skirt suits. It was pretty dissapointing. I am a size 6 and have a weird body (top larger than bottom) so it's normally pretty hard to find clothes that fit properly...and at Cue there was no exception. The jackets looked great but the skirts were too large. So we went to Country Road....where the suits were gorgeous and the skirts fit but the jackets looked strange. We went to David Lawrence, Portmans and Marcs...all too big. I was starting to think I would never find a suit....until we walked into SABA. Thank god for SABA! All of the suits fit and they were perfect! My favourites were a light grey skirt suit and a navy one. I settled on the navy one. The jacket was $399 and the skirt was $179, which my boyfriend paid for as an early birthday present. More expensive than the other stores but worth it as I will be living in suits once I graduate.

Leaving the store incredibly happy we decided to get some food at the Dessert House on swanston street. I ordered portugese spaghetti sauce on rice (a weird choice but thats why I chose it) and a coke spider. The wonderful boyfriend  ordered sticky pork and rice with a kiwi juice. Both dishes were delicious! I wish I had taken photos.
I promise to be better with photos in the future.

The thing that I love about Melbourne is that no matter how many times you've been there. It always surprises you. We found a little nook..as per below
I'm wearing a black Cotton on 3/4 top, Azuki skirt ( my favourite...lace on the bottom and a gorgeous print) and Tony Bianco black leather Wedges. Black leather Bag from Siam Paragon Thailand.
